Ansta are based in Sudbury, Suffolk that is easily commutable from Ipswich, Colchester or Bury St Edmunds but work with major blue chip, national retail and global clients. Our clientele consists of Ann Summers, Joules Clothing, IFLScience, The Mole Clinic and many more high profile clients.

You will not be a coding monkey as you will be fully involved with the client from initial discussion (when appropriate), drafting the specification through to ongoing discussions during the project’s life cycle and building quality relationships with our clients.

Development Team Leader

Salary up to £50k depending upon experience

In addition to the minimal skillset detailed above, the ideal candidate will need to have an immaculate attention to detail, push the boundaries of programming to create high end solutions and lead by example. We require someone who can take a project from the initial idea, work with the general / sales manager writing the specification / UX and put technical specifications together and manage the team to deliver projects on time and on budget. 

Experience in project management and liaising with clients with a 'can do' attitute is a must. The ability to listen and adapt ideas from the team and clients but also understand the commercial aspects of a project. Time management and people skills will be hugely adventageous as you will be responsible for leading and expanding a development team to take the company forward.

Senior PHP Developer

Salary up to £40k depending upon experience

In addition to the minimal skillset detailed above, the position is suited to an individual who has had over 3 years experience in a commercial environment and a passion for web based technology is a must.

The successful candidate will be expected to work as part of a team developing cutting edge solutions, liaising with clients, have a ‘can do’ attitude to any task and show a high degree of passion for the latest trends in web development. Meticulous attention to detail is essential coupled with new ideas or ways to solve a problem at the forefront of every development project.

In addition, on a daily basis you will be speaking and liaising with clients therefore the ideal candidate will be clear on the phone and a great communicator.

As a senior developer the middleweight and junior team members will need assistance therefore the successful candidate should be approachable, easy going and willing to help other team members.

Middleweight PHP Developer

Salary up to £30k depending upon experience

In addition to the minimal skillset detailed above, the position is suited to an individual who has had over 1-2 years experience in a commercial environment and a passion for web based technology is a must.

The successful candidate will be expected to work as part of a team developing cutting edge solutions, liaising with clients, have a ‘can do’ attitude to any task and show a high degree of passion for the latest trends in web development. Meticulous attention to detail is essential coupled with new ideas or ways to solve a problem at the forefront of every development project.

Working with legacy code offering support to existing solutions and being part of the team building new projects are the main responsibilities for this position. The ideal candidate will have to tackle existing code, problem solve and want to learn.
